The Evangelisch Stadtkirche is where the Hastís where Christened and married.
The Evangelisch Stadtkirche was bombed in WWII as well as 80% of Giessen. The steeple was in dis-repair but was rebuilt. The foundation of the church is marked out on the ground with some of the original foundation remaining. The church was rebuilt about a block away from the original church with the help from a church in St Louis, MO. The steeple is now like the center attraction in town, Kirchenplatz.
